bikes: 1995 Sport 1100

I’ve ridden bikes for over 30 years, starting on mini bikes and chook chasers and have since owned various road bikes including a Moto Guzzi Le Mans III, Rickman Kawasaki, Magni Honda, various Jap bikes and the current 1995 Sport 1100, which I love more than any of my previous mounts. Unfortunately I am forced to put the Sport 1100 up for sale as I’ve recently had spinal surgery and can’t risk re-injuring myself (See Bikes for Sale).

Leaning over onto the clip-ons with my wife on pillion is the risky bit, so down the track after recovery (?) I may be able to safely opt for a Cali. Can’t wait, but in the mean time I’ve picked up a Lotus 7 Clubman replica which is the nearest thing to a bike on four wheels. I wonder if I could drop a bored and stroked Guzzi engine in to replace the Toyota four pot unit?

bikes: 75 Convert, ZZR250, 250 Elsinore, Bultaco Alpina, TL125, XL250

As you can tell by the list of bikes, I’ve got no idea of what I want to ride. I bought a Guzzi through this site and i’m rapt. I ride with the Ulysses mob but have been known to tag onto other clubs.

bikes: 1988 TT650, modified for road use only

Busy with teenage family, home renovations and restoring a classic Lancia but I still get to ride occasionally. Ive never been bikeless since I was 14 though this is my first Guzzi (I’ve owned only one other Italian bike, a 1958 Lambretta when I was 14 !) The Guzzi experience is different isnt it. I like the ‘animal’ in my bike.
