Aprilia Motorcycles is an Italian bike company, one of the seven brands owned by Piaggo, which is the world’s fourth largest motorcycle manufacturer. They initially use to produce scoters, recently began with the production of race winning motorcycles. Aprilia is specially known for its flagship model 1000CC V-Twin engine.
The company was founded by Cavaliere Alberto Beggio after the Second World War as a bicycle manufacturing factory in Noale, Italy. They first produced a 50cc bike with a dozen of collaborators. The first production bikes were names as Packi, Colibri and Daniela. In the year 1970, they manufactured a motocross bike called Scarabeo and it was manufactured till the year 1970.
In 1980s, they added some new models like road bikes with 600 and 50cc, trials and enduro. They introduced a model called TL320 trial machine in 1981, ST125 road bike in 1986 and enduro ET50 in 1984. In the year 1985, they began outsourcing engines for different models of Austrian Company. They launched a model called 350
STX and 125 STX in 1985.
In the year 1990, Aprilia Motorcycles launched another model Pegaso 600 which was designed especially for off-road capabilities. The rider of Aprilia, Alessandro Gramigni won the World 125 Road Racing Championship title in the year 1992. There are lots of world champions that started on Aprilia such as Rossi, Gramigni, Biaggi, Sakata and Capirossi. In the year 1992, they began manufacturing scooters and their first scooter was made of plastic.
In 2004, Piaggo C. Spa acquired Aprilia and it formed as the world’s fourth largest motorcycle company with the annual production of more than 600,000 motorcycles and sales of 1.5 billion euros in more than 50 countries. With acquisition of Aprilia, the new Managing Director is Rocco Sabelli and the new President is Roberto Colaninno. In August 2010, Aprilia became the successful motorcycle company in history.

Aprilia RXV 450 is a revolutionary off-road bike which oozes sophistication and power. It comes with fuel injected 449cc 77 degree engine that generates 55hp. The extensive feature found in this Aprilia model is fuel injection which keeps the engine aspirated.
It comes with steel trellis frame which uses the engine as a stressed member and tall seats that measure 39.2 inches. The ground clearance is of about 15.6 inches and wheelbase measures 58.9 inches.
The wet clutch in Aprilia RXV 450 is very good as it engages engine smoothly for quick acceleration. The RXV series is the easiest bike to ride on earth. The wave style rotors are quite cool and 240/270mm floating calipers work fine.
The suspension on both ends is fully adjustable, while the inverted front forks are for intended use.
