I own a 450FE 2010 after 6 successful problem free years of owning the old 2004 version of Husabergs.

This needs to be said. the old Husaberg is unbeatable when it comes to trail riding. No bike has ever come remotely close to its handling and its error corrections. you simply survive on mistakes you wouldn’t survive with any other stiff bike.
The throttle response cannot be compared to EFI or the way the new Husaberg loves to climb or wheelie but try installing a Powerball on the FCR and an open filter (KN, DNA) and you will notice a very close to EFI response.
So, KTM actually destroyed these bikes by buying over the company which is a smart thing to do. Sad for us Husb lovers but the way things are. Can’t blame the manager for creating global dominion
