This model has an engine whose displacement is 449. 3 cc with the use of a only cylinder, 4-stroke, sohc, 4-valve. Frame is central tubular frame created ; ;from chrome molybdenum steel tubes. Details concerning this model might well be viewed below.
The 201 KTM 450 SX-F features modifications to the engine case to further reduce weight, along with improved piston durability, revamped clutch system and a new three-layer cylinder head gasket to increase durability.
In addition to those improvements, the 2014 KTM 450 SX-F also features a lightened camshaft with a strengthened auto-decompression mechanism at its disposal for 2014.
The 2014 KTM 450 SX-F engine has been treated to a new transmission for 2014, characterised by extremely precise and simple shifting. With the number of gears reduced from six to five, the new transmission is 250 grams lighter than its predecessor.
KTM’s 350 SX-F remains much the same for 2014, apart from receiving a selection of upgrades that the complete Motocross range has been treated to for the new year.
These upgrades include a revised chain guide and its attachment points to the swingarm for the benefit of higher functional reliability, while simultaneously reducing the weight.
A newly developed handbrake armature with a new remote reservoir, smaller brake piston diameter and new levers with optimised lever kinematics. As a result, performance and application of the front brake have been perceptibly improved.
Both the rear shock absorber and the 48mm upside-down fork from WP Suspension guarantee ultimate damping and responsiveness. Optimised tuning provides the telescopic fork with even higher reserves against bottoming out for 2014.
The ergonomically designed seat is equipped with a new and improved foam core for 2013, ensuring both greater comfort and higher stability. Refined graphics have also been added throughout the range.
All models in the SX range are equipped with a new, lightweight, polyethylene, 7.5 litre fuel tank, which has been revised in the area of the filler cap internal thread and can be closed even more easily and reliably with a new filler cap.
The fuel pump system used on the four-stroke Motocross models is the same as that used on the four-stroke enduro models, thereby allowing optional installation of larger tanks from the PowerParts range or from the enduro models.
The 2014 KTM 450 SX-F two-stroke range features the exact same brake, seat, fuel tank and graphic updates as the SX-F four-stroke models, plus a handful of upgrades specific to the pre-mix bikes.
All-new for 2014 is the use of Boyesen performance reeds in the 125, 150 and 250 SX models – replacing the V-Force systems featured in past years. Carburetor settings have also been adjusted, along with an optimised piston grinding pattern for increased durability.
Pirelli Scorpion MX 32 Mid Soft tyres are also featured throughout the SX-F and SX range for optimum traction and increased performance.
