Over all Review of Kawasaki Ninja Zx 10r
Overall Review
Kawasaki Ninja Zx 10r is the bike that is in production since 2004, almost a decade has passed, and it is still the same – shiny, exuberant, monstrous, and killing. In Ninja Series, this bike has the second most powerful engine and its looks are not less than a fairy. This fairy is only genuine when we talk about its looks but when the term ‘engine’ comes into reckoning, the fairy turns into a robust beast.
Coming from the family of racing machines, this bike houses a powerful f our-stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder, inline-four engine with a displacement of 998cc. This engine has a DFI fuel system. The power output of this engine is pegged at a maximum of 194BHP, which makes it swift when revved.
The top speed of the bike is a mindboggling 299kmph. The fuel consumption shown by the machine is around 10kmpl. It has a very broad rear tyre for sharper turns. Anti-lock braking system by the company has been loaded in this machine with big disc brakes to keep the rider safe. Highly advanced suspensions have been designed for the bike, to offer best comfort.
There is a large fuel tank with great fuel tank capacity (read 17 litres). Aluminum-alloy frame has been used for the making of the motorbike. The aerodynamics of this bike is simply excellent which makes its acceleration, smoother and quicker.
The instrumentation is also very advanced, for it displays almost every essential information about the machine.
Mileage and Fuel Economy
Kawasaki Ninja Zx 10r is not a normal bike that is used for travelling or performing daily chores. It is truly a racing material that is designed for thrill and adventure. The mileage of this bike is around 8kmpl on the busy city roads while on the open highways, the mileage can reach up to 12kmpl. The engine is incorporated with dual injector digital fuel injection, which has 47mm throttle bodies aided throttle control.
The bike has a large fuel tank that can store up to 17 litres of fuel.

Acceleration and Pick up
Kawasaki Ninja Zx 10r is loaded with an extremely powerful mill, which includes camshaft profiles, large intake valves, and port shapes. This maximizes the power production of the mill and also enhances its power delivery. The top power it has is shown as 197BHP at 13000RPM while the peak torque is 112Nm at 11500RPM. The bike is unable to stop once the throttle is rolled.
The machine turns from a speed of 0 to 100kmph in mere 3 seconds and then proceeds to reach 160kmph in just 6 seconds, which is simply mind-blowing. Also, it can be revved up to 100kmph in first gear itself. The bike can be stretched to 299kmph of speed (unreal on Indian roads).
Appearance
The appearance of this bike can turn anybody ‘on.’ The design of the bike is perfect and it’s hard to resist its beauty. The front fairing of this machine is really stunning such that that you will be unable to take your eyes off it. The front fairing covers the machine from its headlight to the engine. The aerodynamics of the bike is very strong, as the maker has given this bike a curved and compact shape.
There are large ducts over the engine that helps in heat dissipation of the mill. Short fairing and line-beam headlights obtain the aggressive looks of the motorcycle. Within the ram air duct of the bike, there are LED three-bulb position lamp, which enhances the visibility for the rider in the dark.
The fairing is presented with rear view mirrors integrated with clear lens indicators.
The end of the bike has a nine-bulb tail light. The tail light and indicators along with the number plate are easily removable. The tank has a muscular shape. The seat height is also less that makes this bike a bit easy to ride and control.
The instrumental panel of the bike is much enhanced, for it has two modes of display – racing mode and Standard mode. Racing mode is for race days while the other one is for touring and normal riding. The panel displays odometer, S-KTRC level indicator, low fuel indicator, economical riding indicator (shows most favorable fuel consumption), dual trip meters, average fuel consumption, instant fuel consumption, Power Mode (x3), S-KTRC (x4), water temperature and a host of indicator lamps.
Comfort Feature
Kawasaki Ninja Zx 10r has ample number of comfort features out of which, one is its six-speed transmission that makes it extremely smooth to ride. The rear suspension has great potential, for it provides incredible terrain-grasping, easy suspension functioning, trust performing sharp turns, and stability. The design of the bike provides proper place to the rider under the tank to keep his legs comfortably. Foot pegs of this bike can be adjusted up to 15mm for long rides.
Riding at super fast speed will also be very comfortable as this bike makes you feel no vibrations and the steering damper will provide the best of comfort.
