All three of the engines for the current Vulcan line are four-stroke, liquid-cooled V-twin engines. Each engine has four valves per cylinder and uses digital fuel injection with dual throttle bodies. Although all are liquid-cooled, the 2000 Classic LT and the engine in the 1700 line also have cooling fins that help the engine shed heat.
