2013 EICMA Update: Triumph Tiger 800XC Special Edition Unveiled

Triumph Motorcycles is one of the popular motorcycle manufacturers in Europe and at the EICMA they have unveiled the 2014 Tiger 800XC Special Edition. This special edition version brings a few cosmetic changes to differentiate it from the standard 800XC. Triumph is one of the most awaited motorcycle manufacturers in India.

Ever since they revealed their India launch date and details. motorcycle enthusiasts across the country have been waiting in anticipation of the launch of the Triumph series.

At the EICMA show Triumph was seen with a new variant of their popular adventure motorcycle 800XC.  The new Triumph Tiger XC Special Edition brings lively paint scheme. Dubbed as “Volcanic Black”, the new paint scheme enhances the appeal of the motorcycle. The 800XC SE also brings a red frame and red paint scheme on either of the headlights, just before the beak.

It also brings a heat shield in black. Triumph has done a clever job with this paint scheme. It looks as if the frame is popping-out and this ‘blacked-out look with red frame’ looks great on the new 800XC Special Edition.

As far as the technical specifications are concerned there is no official word but it will remain the same as on the 800XC. It will bring an in-line 3 cylinder 799cc producing 94 Bhp at 9,300 rpm with a twisting force of 79 Nm at 7850 rpm. It will come with the 19 litre fuel tank and 90/90 ZR 21 Inch front tyre while the rear will come shod with a 150/70 ZR 17 inch tyre.

Six speed transmission combined with a wet multi-plate clutch and an O-ring chain as the final drive will help in putting the power down to the wheels.

This motorcycle was built to take on any terrain that you can throw at it. It can wade through knee-deep water, mud and creeks. The suspension will cope with hard trails packed with mud and you can even ride this on the streets.
