The Goldwing began as a 999cc-powered motorcycle in 1975, and then grew in engine displacement to 1085cc, 1182cc and 1520cc. The 1520cc version featured an all-new box-style six-cylinder engine. The cylinder bore measures 2.9 inches and the stroke is 2.8 inches.

The 2005 model bike is placed on a 66.6-inch wheelbase with a seat height 29.1 inches from the ground.
