The Honda Jazz MPV benefits from changes in the rack, the bodywork and interior, thanks to the introduction of the hybrid. It can be purchased from 14,200 euros. Also available is a hybrid version (Jazz Hybrid), whose price starts from 17,900 euros.

Honda Jazz 2011 Slight changes to reassert itself as an alternative

Honda Jazz 2011 comes to reaffirm its position in the segment B of the commercial carriers, maintaining the qualities of flexibility, practicality and reliability, fuel economy, emissions and driving comfort, reaffirming itself as an alternative for future customers, after the experience of more than 500,000 units sold since 2009.

Revised Chassis

With respect to Honda Jazz 2009, the frame of the new 2011 range has been improved, especially in their suspensions, with amendments now provide greater comfort and better dynamic, while facilitating and increasing safety in your driving. Also, worked on the electric power steering to deliver precise and accurate drawn on the road and more comfortable in urban maneuvers.

The Honda Jazz 2011 measures the same as the brand new Jazz Hybrid, with a length of 3,900 mm, a width of 1,695 mm, 1,525 mm high with a wheelbase of 2,500 mm, dimensions that allow it to offer the same wide space inside for five passengers with a generous trunk capacity in the organic version.

Honda Jazz 2011 like this, the suspensions are also kept in the same configuration, with McPherson struts front and rear torsion beam. The brake discs are ventilated at the front end and solid on the rear.

Younger and fresher

In the body, the changes have improved the drag coefficient and thus reduce fuel consumption, two closely related variables. Both the front bumper and the rear are new bill, redesigned to reduce drag when the air flow traverses the body, and to avoid turbulence that forms the rear stop.

Also new headlights and grille and taillights now have a larger section of red in the glass, a touch which gives a better differentiation with the Jazz Hybrid.

Changes in body end with the extension of the color palette, featuring two new colors, Sapphire Blue and Bronze Ionized.

Interior of higher quality

On the inside, the changes are more noticeable than in the body. As in the Jazz Hybrid, the dashboard is made of a plastic, single color, the darker the seats have new upholstery fabric but, optionally, you can dress up the seats with leather upholstery.

Large luggage capacity, in two parts

The new Honda Jazz 2011 has a capacity of trunk leader in its segment, surpassing in size to some compact MPV segment C. This generous space is the result of the location of the fuel tank in center position and its combination with the system of internal modularity Magic Seats, system also available on the new Jazz Hybrid.

It also has a low loading sill, just 605 millimeters from the floor to facilitate loading and unloading tasks and a hook on the left side of the trunk.

In particular, the trunk has a volume of 335 liters capacity, but may be increased to 399 liters in models with 1.4 liter engine that have tire repair kit and spare wheel emergency with a depth of 230 mm, which means that, compared with the Model 2009, has increased the volume 19 liters in total. Honda Jazz 2011 the system of internal modularity magic seats are four different forms of space management: Normal or Regular Mode, Tall Mode, Upper / lower Mode and Long Mode.

In normal mode, the space under the floor panel is hidden under a double-hinged, with a capacity of 100 kg and a load length of 1,720 millimeters. If you choose to fold the bench against the rear seat backs, forming one piece at 90 degrees, you get the Tall Mode setting, ideal for loading and unloading of bulky items, up to 1,280 mm in height.

Alternatively, rather than folding all the panel against the rear seatbacks, the top half rise to a horizontal position and support in lateral supports in the cargo space, creating a half height rack and separates the total space in a upper and lower section, in what is called Upper / lower Mode. The top panel has a network, in addition to securing the load.

In Long Mode option, the front passenger seat slides forward and back reclines the most, increasing the load length to 2,400 millimeters.

Available with three mechanical combinations

The Honda Jazz 2011 is offered with two petrol engines, all with four-cylinder 16-valve cylinder head, and two transmissions, three combinations involving mechanical, offering small reductions in CO2 emissions and improved fuel economy.

Honda Jazz 2011 The most basic is the 1.2 which yields a maximum power of 90 hp and maximum torque of 114 Nm available at 4,900 rpm. Mated to a five-speed manual transmission, has a top speed of 177 km / h and accelerates from zero to 100 km / h in 12.5 seconds, with an average consumption of 5.3 liters per 100 kilometers and emissions 123 grams CO2 per kilometer.

The second option is the 1.4 liter with 100 hp of maximum power at 6,000 rpm and maximum torque of 127 Nm available at 4,800 rpm. This engine can be associated with a five-speed manual transmission, with which the benefits are of a top speed of 182 km / h with acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 11.5 seconds, yielding an average consumption of 5.5 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 126 g / km.

With automatic CVT

Honda Jazz 2011 replaces the previous i-shift automatic transmission with a new automatic transmission torque converter, matching the values of economy and emissions of 2009 model with the gasoline engine of 1.4 liters. With CVT-type automatic transmission, performance slightly worse, with a top speed of 175 km / h with acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 12.6 seconds, while improving fuel economy and emissions, consuming of 5.4 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 125 g / km.

Honda Jazz 2011 More profoundly, the system of the new Jazz CVT 2011 has been improved by installing a torque converter in the gearbox, which increases efficiency and improves low-speed control. It also has a pending sensor that allows the transmission to select a low gear when needed, helping the driver maintain maximum control.

This gearbox is different from using the new Honda Jazz Hybrid, which does not incorporate different needs unit with torque converter. The changes can be made manually, since the cams on the steering wheel or from the selector lever.

Through the cams, the driver enjoys a true manual transmission. When the vanes are operated in the “D” decrease the transmission ratio to obtain an effect of reduction gears, recovered after the change, while if it is operated in the “S” provides complete control of gear selection, acceleration or braking of the motor.
