2009 BMW X5 M Sport Package
For the first time since the introduction of the X5 nine years ago, buyers are able to tick the M Sport Package box on the option list. Ticking that box is going to cost you, seriously cost you, but if you are stumping up the readies for an X5, a few more dollars isn’t going to kill you. right?
The M Sport Package encompasses ‘enhanced’ suspension, a new set of sports-oriented body-colour front and rear bumpers, side skirts, colour-coded door protection strips and wider wheel arches to accommodate the special M light alloy wheels.
BMW M Sport Suspension provides firmer damper settings as well as revised spring rates. If Adaptive Drive is optioned, the M Sport Suspension can not be fitted, but you’re new X5 will get the rest of the M Sport Package kit.
The BMW X5 M Sport Package is available in Alpine White, and the following metallic colours: Titanium Silver, Space Grey, Monaco Blue, Black Sapphire and Carbon Black.
The BMW X5 M Sport Package exterior treatment is completed by the luxurious BMW Individual Exterior Line, featuring satin finish aluminium side window surrounds and roof rails finished in high-gloss satin chrome.
M Sport Package vehicles are also fitted with 19-inch V-spoke M light alloy wheels (style 223 M), wrapped in run-flat safety tyres sized at 255/50 R 19 at the front and 285/45 R 19 at the rear.
But it doesn’t stop there, because we all know that bigger is better, and BMW has allowed for this by offering another option in the form of 20-inch M light alloy wheels (style 227 M), shod with 275/40 R20 front and 315/35 R20 rear run flat safety tyres.
On the inside, the BMW X5 M Sport Package receives electrically adjustable sport seats (comfort seats for the X5 xDrive48i) for the front row which include a memory function for the driver’s setting.
An M leather-covered steering wheel, finely-brushed aluminium interior trims and an anthracite BMW Individual roof lining complete the transformation of the interior.
The BMW X5 M Sport Package is available now and is priced according to model:
For the BMW X5 xDrive48i, the M Sport Package is priced from $5,400
For the BMW xDrive30i/d/sd Executive models, the M Sport Package is priced from $8,000
For the BMW xDrive30i/d models, the M Sport Package is priced from $11,000
The 20-inch M wheel option is priced at $2,648.
All prices include GST and LCT at 33 percent.
The new BMW X5 M Sport Package sits alongside the pre-existing BMW X5 Sport Package.
If Adaptive Drive is specified, the M Sport Package cost is reduced by $635.
