Engine and Transmission – The all new 65cc, 2-stroke, one cylinder, water cooled system with reed intake and exhaust control, that produces more power to make the beginner on motocross career learn more to step to bigger MX bikes. The power is controlled with 6-gear claw shifted transmission with hydraulically operated clutch, and it delivers on straight spur primary gear with 23:75 ratio and 14:48 final drive.
Chassis and Suspension – The styling is directly deriving from the full-size SX styles and make it look like one of the big bikes. The stable steel frame has a bolted-on, light alloy sub-frame. The frame also has a new, hard-wearing, anthracite metallic plastic coating.
The WP upside-down telescopic fork with 35 mm diameter outer tubes and 215 mm suspension travel and the WP shock absorber at rear have adjustable rebound and compression damping. The brake system has been developed by Formula brake specialist, at both front and rear, heavy-duty 4-piston brake calipers bite hard into the lightweight 198 mm and 160 mm wave brake discs for stopping power on 2013 KTM 65 SX.
