Suzuki Motor Corporation is a world famous multinational corporation of Japan which has its headquarters in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, Japan. It is a specialist manufacturer of four-wheel drive vehicles, ATVs, automobiles, motorcycles, internal combustion engines, wheelchairs and outboard marine engines and holds position in the top companies of the world. It started manufacturing motorcycles in 1952 and since then made a lot of records and got an immense popularity in the motorcycle world market.
Recently, Suzuki Motorcycle India Limited launched a special edition of their popular cruiser super-bike Intruder M1800R with the name of ‘Suzuki Intruder M1800R BOSS Edition’. It is a great combination of power, handling and cruiser styling which makes it a definite head-turner.
Suzuki Intruder M1800R BOSS Edition has a bright, low-set headlights which are covered by a chromed streamlined cover, sticking out traditional turn indicators at front and rear, a digital bar-type rev counter setup on tall stalks, its instrument console with a digital fuel gauge and tachometer, two digital trip meters, an analogue speedometer and a low fuel and oil indicators is fitted across the bike’s fat tank which is little below the driver’s field of vision, stylish and retro-type tinted rear view mirrors, a smooth and broad pulled-back chrome handlebar, a wide and low-slung saddle with tall and comfortable pillion seat behind it, a stylish side-stand, a trendy brake warning lamp with LED tail light . 18-inch and 6-spoke Black alloy wheels . stylish under-over silencer in Black and not very comfortable foot-pegs. The stylish cruiser super-bike has a length of 2480mm, a width of 875mm and a height of 1130mm as its dimensions and a large wheelbase of 1710mm for a stable ride. It has a good high ground clearance of 130mm and seat height of 705mm. It has a curb mass of 347kgs along with a fuel tank capacity of 19.5 litres .
Suzuki Intruder M1800R BOSS Edition has the same 1783cc, 2-cylinders, 8-valves . 4-stroke, Liquid-cooled, Transistorised Electronic Ignition, 10.5:1 Compression ratio, DOHC, 54degrees V-twin engine with a bore and stroke of 112mm and 90.5mm respectively has a maximum power of 127 bhp at 6200 rpm and a maximum torque of 160 Nm at 3200 rpm and has a five speed constant mesh gearbox transmission with 1-down and 4-up shift pattern.
Suzuki Intruder M1800R BOSS Edition has a pair of 320mm disk brakes at front and a single 275mm disk brake at rear. The suspension system consists of an Inverted Telescopic type with Oil-damped Coil Springs at front and Link type with Oil-damped Coil Springs at rear. Suzuki Intruder M1800R BOSS Edition is available in a single variant with its shade having a mixture of Marble Daytona Yellow and Glass Sparkle Black . The ex-showroom, Delhi price of this stylish cruiser super-bike is INR 16.45lakhs which may vary in different states.
Overall, Suzuki Intruder M1800R BOSS Edition is a great combination of style, performance, speed, safety and luxury but is little behind in terms of comfort and has a very high price.
