Vespa LXV

Vintage styling. Modern technology.

This Vintage Vespa pays homage to the original Vespa design, with classic details such as a ‘naked’ handlebar, retro instrumentation and a saddle with separate rider and passenger seats. Cleverly re-interpreting some of the traditional design and technical elements of vintage Vespas of the 1960s, the LXV is the result of pure Italian passion and creativity.

The LXV boasts a 150cc engine, a vintage-style hand-stitched split leather seat. generous underseat storage. and an automatic twist-and-go transmission. Travel the highways with as much confidence as the city streets.

The LXV employs all of the sophisticated components of the modern LX models including the signature one-piece steel body and the most technically advanced braking system in the history of Vespa. The Vespa LXV also features an electronic fuel-injected 4-stroke engine for superior performance.

The ‘V’ series is ideal for those who crave vintage design with the ease of modern technology.

The Vespa LXV 150 is a light, compact and stylish way of getting around that makes traffic a problem of the past. A load bearing, one-piece steel body combined with a high-performance fuel injected engine keeps Vespa in a class of its own.

The new 2010 Vespa LXV 150 now comes with a fuel injected engine that is cleaner and more efficient; better for both the environment and your wallet. The new fuel injected motor also provides superior power and is better on cold-starts.

Congestion is for everyone else. So is looking for parking. Zip through traffic with a low center of gravity and a larger front wheel (11 front-10 back), which provides more control and agility.

The ergonomically-designed seat allows for your legs and arms to be held at correct angles, and has been engineered to help keep your torso straight; it offers an unparalleled level of comfort for one or two riders. And with superior engine performance and exceptional manoeuvrability, getting around town has never felt so good.

The LXV 150 let’s you reach impressive highway-like speeds to get you where you want to go, fast. Experience the Vespa advantage with added features such as a newly engineered fuel injected engine, a comfortable trailing link suspension, a built-in lock immobilizer, long lasting alloy wheels, a stable one-piece steel body, and a superior braking system.

The LXV has been designed as a tribute to the 1960s Vespas. The extensive enhancements to the LXV can be found throughout, from accessory parts to the metal body, such as the headlamp and handlebars.

The headlamp remains in its original position on the handlebar, like the 1960s scooters from which the Vespa LXV is derived, but in a slimmer, more minimalist version to emphasise the ‘naked’ handlebar and to give the front of the vehicle a more lightweight look. The analogue instrumentation is encased in a chrome-plated housing while the dial faces recall the style that was so in vogue during the 60s.

The exposed handlebars are formed from a chrome-plated integrated tube with leather handgrips for additional comfort. The real leather split-seat itself is consistent with the style of the times as well, with separate sprung seat cushions for rider and passenger, underneath which is a spacious storage compartment.
