Carl Edwards went on NASCAR Radio on SiriusXM to dismiss rumors that he died during the offseason. He also denied that he would be making a comeback soon. Despite being away from NASCAR, he said that he kept in touch with several people who he worked with during his racing career.

After retiring from NASCAR, the 38-year-old is spending his time doing things that he has wanted to do but can’t while being a racecar driver. He tried to stay away from the spotlight, and would occasionally visit the NASCAR tracks to mentor Daniel Suarez or do consulting work with Toyota Racing Development. He also spent a lot of time traveling with family and friends. He is also farming during his spare time.

Since his retirement, there were many speculations and rumors about Carl Edwards. Some of them include his involvement with the return of Dodge to NASCAR and the second Furniture Row Racing car. Whenever there was a rumor about him, Edwards would come out to dismiss them.

Another rumor is that he will seek public office. Edwards said that he has no plans yet to serve the people but he is monitoring what’s happening in the political sector. He said that he would not hesitate to run for public office if he sees the opportunity to assist his community. However, he has nothing planned in the near future.

During the radio show, he thanked Joe Gibbs, team owner of his former team, for letting him out of the last year of his contract. If ever he comes back to NASCAR, he said he would go to his former team first. He added that he would not trade a single second of his racing career for anything in the world.
