The 2018 Buick Lacrosse has been described as a "refined and comfortable" sedan. The car was redesigned last year and this 2018 model came with a host of other changes.

When you look at Buick Lacrosse, you can see why this is a great option instead of more luxury cars. You get great performance, a comfortable interior, and the looks of luxury, but at a lower price. Still boasting an attractive style, this car comes with a new mild-hybrid powertrain.

Performance and Design

This is not a full hybrid since it cannot be operated on electric power alone. The system provides a fuel-saving boost to the 3.6-liter V6 engine. Speaking of engine, this one is matted with a 9-speed automatic transmission, which is an update from last year's 8-speed transmission.

The fundamental design of the Lacrosse has remained unchanged. The sedan keeps its big four-door shape with room for five full-size adults. Well, maybe the back seat could add more space since it is probably one of the quirks of the vehicle.

A Terrific Driving Experience

For a car its size, the 2018 Buick Lacrosse feels pretty light on its feet. It provides a great driving experience as it is equipped with an array of high-tech features. From the 4-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel to the 8" diagonal screen, there is a fine touch of luxury in this sedan.

The dashboard is almost symmetric with only the necessary buttons and switches. Overall, it is simplistic with an acceptable degree of functionality.

Safety

The high-tech gear in the Lacrosse sedan includes active safety technology. The car has had good results in crash tests. This is due to its 8 air bags and a stiff crash structure. However, its headlights did not do well in effectiveness and the IIHS gave them a "poor" rating.

Buick's Flagship Sedan

The Lacrosse looks larger than what it really is thanks to a more streamlined design. It has an overall elegant design that makes it stand out from the crowd.
