The Kawasaki ER-6n is a sporty, practical, agile, cool and sharp looking motorcycle. The motorcycle is highly accessible to riders of all ages. It is a very versatile, rider-friendly sports motorcycle.
The Kawasaki ER-6n is a unique combination of stunning good looks and performance.
On the engine front Kawasaki ER-6n is powered by a 649cc, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, 8-valves, DOHC, parallel twin unit which produces peak power of 72.1 PS at 8500 rpm and peak torque of 64 Nm at 7000 rpm. The motorcycle is equipped with a powerful engine. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
The power from the engine to the rear wheel is transferred via a chain. The engine is brought to life by an electric starter. The engine is compact and offers best balance of good power characteristics.
The bike is easy to ride as the engine tuning is rider-friendly. The compact size of the engine has played a vital role in making the ER-6n a slim bike. The engine offers good low-mid range torque, which is of good use while commuting in cities especially during start and stop conditions and at the same time maintains the high-revving character of the Kawasaki.
The ER-6n is equipped with a sporty looking tandem seat with thick cushioning which aids the rider during long commute, ergonomic passenger grips and rubber-mounted seat bracket.The bike is built on an all new Double pipe perimeter style frame, made up of high-tensile steel which contributes to the bike’s lightweight appearance. Kawasaki has equipped the bike with a more compact headlamp shroud.
Angular design of the stacked dual headlamp helps in maintaining the identity of the bike while providing a sharp new street-fighter style look to the ER-6n. The fuel tank on the bike looks in sync with the bike as rear of the tank slopes back in a straight line to the seat also the fuel tank is 20 mm taller and enhances the overall looks of the bike.
The double-pipe frame of the bike contributes to a lighter handling of the bike.The suspension on the bike is also revised and has a longer stroke which offers both sporty handling and enhanced comfort. The new swing arm complements the design of the frame and contributes in the premium appearance of the bike. Intake ducts extend through the frame tubes which provides cool fresh air to the engine.
Kawasaki ER-6n also boasts a stacked instrument which features an easy to read layout. It features an analogue-style tachometer which uses white back light for excellent visibility at night. The multi-function LCD has blue back lighting. ABS is optional on the bike.The bike is easy going in nature and offers a very nimble ride. The biggest rival of the bike is Suzuki SV650.
Kawasaki has plans to launch the ER-6n along with the Kawasaki Versys 1000 in India soon.
