Harley-Davidson, a Milwaukee-based company, has been producing its Sportster line of motorcycles continuously since 1957, giving it the honor of being the most continuously-produced vehicle in the United States. When it was first introduced, it was hailed as a modern power plant, with an engine that displaced 55 cubic inches and had a compression ratio of 7.5 to one. Consumers purchased 1,983 Sportsters in 1957.
In 1980, the manufacturer sold 14,767 Sportsters.
1977 Yamaha 650 Specs
Yamaha produced the XS650 from 1968 to 1985. The bike was a classic motorcycle. It featured an engine with piston displacement of 654cc.
The 1977 Yamaha XS 650 went from 0 to 100 kph in 6.1 seconds and accelerated from 0 to 60 mph in 5.8 seconds.
Honda produced the XR 500 between 1979 and 1985. The bike is a single-cylinder, four-stroke, off-road motorbike. As its name suggests, it belongs to the class of 500 cc motorcycles, with a piston displacement of 498.00 cc, or 30.39 cubic inches.

BMW’s K1200 RS was initially developed in order to remedy the faults of an earlier-model BMW motorcycle, the K-bike, which was good for touring but was slow and heavy. These faults were rectified with the RS, which eliminated the K-bike’s buzzing sound, introduced BMW’s first six-speed transmission and boasts drastically increased horsepower over that possessed by the K-bike. The K1200 RS retains, however, the K-bike’s aptitude for touring.

The threads of a spark plug are harder than the female threads in the aluminum spark plug hole. Installing a spark plug off center causes the spark plug threads to cut the female threads. Providing harder threads in an aluminum head reduces the chances of cross-threading.

More commonly known as a generator, the alternator of an engine is an integral component that keeps the battery of the engine charged. A Power Commander is an important tool in fine-tuning your Suzuki GSX-R sport bike’s fuel-injection system for peak performance. Traditionally, a GSX-R is set up on a Dynometer — which measures the motorcycle’s horsepower, torque and air to fuel ratio — to provide a custom fuel curve that is programmed into the Power Commander through a software interface.
