Since Erik Jones has been confirm only for Kansas, there is great buzz regarding the return of Busch as No. 18 to famous Sprint Cup Series. The buzz started when Erik Jones who is current replacement in No. 18 Toyota of Busch, was inquired about his next schedule.

However, a Thursday official release from prestigious JGR claimed that Jones would simply replace Busch beginning at Kansas speedway, but Jones clarified that the team has only confirmed him for upcoming May 9 car race.

“Apart from this, I honestly don’t have idea about other things,” said Jones. “I love running car again. I will have to wait how things will go and of course I’ll have to do my best to ensure best results.”

Since he’s running car in the prestigious CWT series (camping world truck) as a full-timer as well as has chosen various Busch’s car races in the renowned Xfinity Series. It seems quite reasonable to anticipate that JGR might be plotting the needed logistics of having Erik Jones in series to complete the need of Busch.

On the other hand, according to Jones, JGR hasn’t given him with any information on when and how Busch may return or his chances to continue running the car. “At Kansas this time, that’s all details or news that I’ve heard,” said Jones. “Even I too have seen the news on TV about 20 minutes ago claiming the return of Busch.” He explained.

“There is no certain timetable or confirmation date regarding the Busch’s return,” said the spokesman at JGR. “Right now, we are only concentrating on Kansas,” he added.
