Hyosung Aquila GV250 cruiser launched at Auto Expo 2014
No surprises here, as expected for a long time now DSK Hyosung finally launched the Aquila GV250 cruiser at the Auto Expo 2014. The Hyosung Aquila GV250, we must say is one good looking cruiser. It can for sure be mistaken for something of a much higher capacity.
With a generous amount of chrome adorning this machine, the Hyosung Aquila GV250 shines and catches your eye from every angle. The Hyosung Aquila GV250 is the first proper cruiser in the 250 cc segment and comes at a price tag of 2.69 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. For that price you get a V-Twin engine that produces 26 BHP of power and 22 Nm of torque. Numbers that should see you cruise at highway speeds easily. The bookings for this 250 cc cruiser have already begun.
Colour options for the Aquila Gv250 include, white, a red and black combo and a black one.
Also at the Auto Expo 2014 from Hyosung were the GD250N, the RT125D and the Comet 250 (GT250N). The GD250N is Hyosung’s answer to the likes of the Duke 200 and priced right it just might be. Hope it gets launched soon. The Comet 250 in our opinion should have been in the market long back, it already has a strong following owing to the fact that it was once launched earlier.
Then comes the RT125D, well, we will reserve our comments on this motorcycle for when it actually comes here.
Mr. Shirish Kulkarni – Chairman, DSK Hyosung
“This is the first time we are participating at this mega auto event; we wanted to mark our entry with oodles of luxury, style and performance and decided that the best way to do it was to introduce The Real Cruiser – The Aquila 250. This luxury cruiser is the first-of-its kind in the Indian market and will offer an unparalleled ride quality, performance, cruiser comfort and stability for speed connoisseurs. Apart from Aquila 250, we are also showcasing three of our future bikes – The RT125D, GD250N and Comet 250 (GT250N) that will give a glimpse into the brand’s vision in terms of superior design, engineering and technological advancement.
As per industry reports, the Indian superbike market has grown manifold and is doubling almost every two years despite the economic gloom and fall in domestic demand. Characterized by the world’s youngest population under 35 years that typically enjoys global lifestyle, tastes and preferences that match their style, India offers huge potential for high-end superbike manufacturers. Our introductions mirror the brand’s commitment to the Indian market and the relentless pursuit to offer the best in super biking experience and innovation in design and technology. From cutting edge sports bikes to retro-classics and sports cruisers, our product portfolio offers something for everyone in the super biking segment.”
